2021.09.16 17:30 Darkthrone0 Lets be real for a second. How long do you guys give it till this game dies?
As much as I love Apex and want it to flourish forever, I just don’t see it lasting much longer. Especially with EA at the helm. When I say that, I mean relatively soon. Say, 2 years max.
I don’t even need to say anything about EA because, well, it’s EA. All that needs to be said is that EA won’t give Respawn the resources they need to provide better and more up to date servers. It’s going to continue till it reaches a critical point. By then, player counts will drop, and it’ll reach a state much like what Titanfall is in. Respawn will have to leave Apex in the dust and move on to the next money making project. Because we all know that all EA cares about is money.
So I give it 2 years tops.
It just sucks because I really enjoy apex. It’s honestly the most fun I’ve ever had in any competitive FPS game. It’s actually ruined every other FPS game for me because nothing else plays like it, except for Titanfall of course. Makes me sad.
I think the only thing that could save Apex at this point is if some other company bought it, or if Respawn managed to break off from EA. Because in my eyes, I think Respawn themselves is genuinely passionate about apex. But EA isn’t allowing them to take care of it the way that it needs to be taken care of.

2021.09.16 17:30 NotSoSnarky How can we change the health care system?
Reading some posts has made me sad. We really need to change how the health care system is.
No one should have to choose between paying their rent or getting pills or insulin that they desperately need. Or getting food or gas and choosing between a medical need.
We need Universal Health Care where we pay taxes on it instead of out of pocket. Or if not that, then something to help people who truly need it.
We need to start a movement, on Facebook, Twitter or wherever else we have a voice. Share your story, share someone else's story, we need a change in the health care system.

2021.09.16 17:30 flamingorange1203 Constant boiler breakdowns for past 7 years in rented house, is the housing provider in their right so say we can't have it replaced just yet?
Hi, we live in a house which we have rented from a housing association for the past 7 years and when we moved in, the chaps fitted a brand new Combi boiler which replaced what I presumed was an old style system that involved a gas fire, a hot water cylinder (which was both removed when we moved in) and tanks in the loft (which are still there now but just sitting there disconnected). Now ever since day 1, this boiler has thrown as nothing but problems such as: The boiler constantly detecting a tap is on even though it isn't and therefore, the boiler would always be on unless you switched it off, plus it would be burning through gas I would imagine, and most annoyingly preventing the heating from coming on. Other problems have also arisen such as the boiler throwing up a fault code from time to time telling us its overheated, a gas man who done a safety check once deemed the boiler unsafe to use because of a problem with the flue.
So every time a fault occurred we would contact our housing provider who would send an engineer out to do the relevant work but we would be lucky for this repair to last 5 minutes as we last had the boiler repaired around mid-July and the boiler has broke down again (though not fully as you can still get hot water, but not CH). Prior to the repair in July, we had someone come out in June I think to fix an overheating issue which coincided with a plumber replacing some kitchen taps and also sorting out an airlock at the same time.
Our housing provider has said we can't have a new boiler until its at its 10 year mark as they have older boilers to deal with first.
Under the housing & tenants act 1985, it states that the landlord (or in this case housing provider) is responsible legally for the repairs for the boiler and should be done within a week tops.
Although I do get that they are repairing the boiler, the repairs being done are clearly a case of rinse & repeat and I would hate for it to pack up right in the middle of winter or even at Christmas!
So is the housing provider in their right to refuse us a new, reliable boiler until 2024 as they said it will be replaceable then?

2021.09.16 17:30 anniep23 OMM airdrip when using myiconwallet with ledger
When I originally staked my ICX tokens, I first added the ICON app to my ledger. Then on chrome went to myiconwallet. I connected my ledger wallet. Then proceeded to stake my ICX tokens. Everything there looks OK - I have been earning ICX. Now I'm trying to claim the OMM tokens. I go to omm.finance/airdrip/ and sign in with my ledger (with ICON app open). After clicking the claim button, the omm.finance/airdrip screen says Airdrip claimed and displays my wallet address. How do I see the claimed OMM tokens? When I open the app and signin with my ledger, I see a few ICX tokens but no OMM. Can you help me please? Also is there something like etherscan that I can plug in my wallet address to see the tokens on the wallet? Thank you for your help

2021.09.16 17:30 Yori_R6 Buying a house vs. renting an apartment-no down payment
A little help needed.
My fiancé and I were required to move for his job. We moved into an apartment, but here’s the issue-it’s literally 4x the cost of a local ‘house’ (mobile home) monthly payment. On top of that, there’s a $200 monthly fee per pet, plus electricity and other fees. He makes good money, but…it takes over an entire paycheck each month just for rent.
It would be way more financially logical to buy a home and save all that monthly money, but we have had multiple emergencies this past couple months and we are fresh out of college so not much savings past what we had for emergencies and my student loans.
Meaning we don’t have enough for even the smallest down payment, and won’t anytime soon while we are paying this much for an apartment. Is there any chance for us do y’all think?

2021.09.16 17:30 g228bills I couldn’t go to work today.
Today I woke up and got ready for work to my surprised I had the catalytic converter stolen from my car. I called the store to let them know about 40 minutes after I was supposed to be there since I had busy trying to figure out what what wrong with the car and trying to file a report with the police. It’s now a few hours later and I have no way of getting to work for the rest of the week and for a few weeks since I don’t have a car. The repairs are going to be expensive and I don’t know if my boss could change my schedule since I only had the job for about a month. I don’t have enough money to Uber to work every day for a a couple weeks but I can for the next few days will I be let go for not going in today?
